Training Opportunities
Astro-Med offers a number of training options to allow you to get the most benefit out of your recorder. Following are the training options available for your recorder:
Test and Measurement College -- This comprehensive training class is taught at our factory and covers operation, repair and troubleshooting on Astro-Med recorders.
On-Site Training -- For customers requiring training at their own facility, Astro-Med can send a certified technician to your facility to train up to eight people on the repair and troubleshooting and operation of your Astro-Med recorder.
Both the T&M College and the On-site Training Classes provide a comprehensive overview on all aspects of your Astro-Med recorder. If you have a special training requirement, Astro-Med can design a special training class for you. Please contact our factory for information on specialized training classes.
Test and Measurement College
Astro-Med’s Test & Measurement College provides comprehensive product training. Through both lectures and actual hands-on experience, our program provides the student with the understanding of theory of operation as well operation of their Astro-Med data acquisition and recording products. The college is held at our factory in West Warwick, Rhode Island.
For the Dash Series, classes are two days in length. Class begins on Wednesday and ends on Thursday. This class covers operation of the Dash Series recorders. A small portion of time is spent on routine maintenance, software upgrade and calibration to round out the student’s knowledge of the products.
For the Everest Series, classes are either two or three days. Students interested in only operations will attend the two day class which begins on Tuesday and ends on Wednesday. For students who require coverage of in-depth maintenance, troubleshooting and repair topics, a third day is added to the schedule.

On-Site Training Classes
On-site Training - Astro-Med will send a certified technician to your facility to train you on your Astro-Med recorder.
Topics -- On-site training classes cover repair, troubleshooting and operation of Astro-Med recorders.
Class Size -- Up to eight students may attend these classes at one time.
Class Length -- Depending on the Material covered, class lengths can vary from one to five days.
Classroom Materials -- Astro-Med provides texts, booklets and manuals for all students.
Equipment -- Customer to provide recording / data acquisition products for training.
Price -- The cost of on-site training is $1,680.00 per day plus portal to portal expenses for the instructor. Please contact the factory for a formal quotation.
