On September 1, 2009, Astro-Med, Inc. achieved AS9100 certification.

AS9100 is the quality management system of the aerospace industry. Initially released in October 1999 by the Society of Automotive Engineers in the Americas and the European Association of Aerospace Industries, AS9100 is aligned with ISO 9001 and harmonizes requirements outlined in the SAE's AS9000 and Europe's prEN9000-1 standards. AS9100 certification is preferred by aerospace manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus SAS, and other members of the InternationaI Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG).

Astro-Med, Inc. is committed to the continuous improvement and maintenance of Astro-Med’s Quality Management System (QMS) through compliance to AS9100, ISO 9001:2000, and other standards and regulatory requirements.  We have a reputation for delivering value and innovation, and we are committed to maintaining it. We have charged ourselves to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements as a part of our process for continuous improvement.

Astro-Med has been ISO 9001 certified since 1993 and we are committed to practices that meet ISO standards. We have been AS9100 certified since 2009, and hold FAA part 145 certification as a repair station, both important certifications for the aerospace and defense industries.
